We invite you to join us in an interesting and unique project on campus. Starting several months ago, my friend and colleague, Dr. Ron Zeigler and I were thinking about how differently music can touch us as compared, say, to a dry straight-forward lecture. Music seems at times to come from the heart and come into our own heart without ever passing through the cold hard calculating brain. With the help of a grant from the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, we conceived a series that would explore this phenomenon and do so with a lot of lively music, some food, and a lot of opportunity to ask top notch musicians about the social chasms that their music bridges. - Roger Candeleria, Campus Compliance Officer, Office of Diversity Education and Compliance |
